Aliens: Colonial Marines is the first major video game to look like a piece of shit this year. Trying to play this game only made me realize how horrible of a company Gearbox is because they made it, or that is what some people say.

Do Not Buy This game. Do Not Buy This game. I work at GameStop and I have been warning my customers about this obsolete pile of garbage. I have been turning people away from this game since we had our midnight launch. I can't believe that we even had to do that. I just feel so misled by GearBox.

The glitches; No software updates from GearBox to fix them; Antiquated graphics system; Obsolete multiplayer system with bugs all over the place; I could go on for about two more hours

This could and should have been so much more. But sadly, it is just a broken game. Game over man, game over.

The biggest problem with Aliens: Colonial Marines is simply that it isn't fun. Not at all. You could play the game from beginning to finish, laugh at its many faults, and finish it without too much trouble, but at no point would you really enjoy yourself, unless you're the blindest of hardcore...

Let's not beat around the bush here, Aliens: Colonial Marines is a bad game. I can't say I'm surprised. It's been in development for over six years, passed through the hands of several developers, and was delayed a number of times. Not exactly a recipe for success in the video game business.

Building a game around James Cameron's 1986 sci-fi classic should be the recipe for a tense, action-packed shooter bursting with atmosphere and scares. Instead we get one of the biggest disappointments in recent years.

I bought this when it was on sale for only like 10 bucks new. I didn't have high expectations coming in because of all the bad press and reviews. Playing through, I actually didn't think it was all that bad. That is until I go to a boss fight that was unbeatable.

My motion tracker reached fever pitch as I relayed the grim news to my fellow marines. We'd already lost two squadmates to a cunning spitter who melted them into slop with molecular acid, and the slavering hunters had hounded us into a dank stairwell.

Excellent multiplayer mode; Impressively authentic level dressing; Nails atmosphere and attention to little authentic details

There was a lot of hope for Aliens: Colonial Marines but it seems the gaming world is let down with another attempt to make a successful film tie in. The review should give you a few good reasons why the game suffers but other aspects such as the overused catchphrase ‘Stay frosty!
