Alan Wake Review
For over six years, Remedy has been tinkering away at Alan Wake , the Finnish developers' follow-up to Max Payne 2 , resurfacing intermittently at different E3s over the years. For such a lengthy development period and ambitious subject matter, is Alan Wake worth the wait? Undoubtedly.
Pros:
- Fantastic atmosphere created with aesthetics and sound
- Running away is just as satisfying as fighting
- Intriguing characters
- story and location
Cons:
- Wake can control clumsily at points
- Some pointless achievement based collecting
- Some major plot moments lack a strong payoff

31ST OF MARCH!.........YEAH RIGHT!
This game has been in microsoft game studios pipelines for years, it was used initially as an Intel tech demo before they released the core 2 duo processors. it has been put back time after time and i hope that ms can stick to this release schedule.

Alan Wake is an art game for men. Unlike Flower or Braid this game features amazing cinematics, menacing Darkness monsters (à la the Heartless and Nobodies in Kingdom Hearts) and without a doubt the best storyline for a game I have played this year.

Alan Wake review
First announced in 2005, Alan Wake is a psychological thriller five years in the making. We had our reservations, but Remedy's narrative-heavy foray has proved worth the wait.
Pros:
- A beautifully crafted world, stunningly presented
- A cast of believable characters wrapped up in a narrative that's paced as reliably as a metronome
- A fine balance of suspense and action
Cons:
- Some disappointing set pieces
- Wake's flamboyant literary agent, Barry, occasionally goes to great lengths to remind you that he's a caricature sidekick
