Alan Wake - Xbox 360
But if Alan Wake is too late to be a flagship title, it's still a memorable, exciting game. For all that the gameplay is linear and the exploration limited, it doesn't matter, because the hands-on experience of playing the game (preferably with lights off, on your own, with sound turned high or...
Pros:
- Gripping moments can really win you over
- atmospheric effects are excellent
Cons:
- Can be very linear at times

Alan Wake
Absolutely loved this game. Great balance of suspence, horror and action with a compelling story. Approx 7-8 hour game that had me so gripped that I completed it in 2 sittings. Highly recommended.

Overslept
Five years (plus) in the making, Remedy Entertainment's Alan Wake is finally upon us. Having gone through several changes and an unusually long development period, one of the biggest question marks in recent video game history has finally materialized.
Pros:
- The external environments are beautiful
Cons:
- The player sees far too much of them

Another Look at Alan Wake
Mobility: 5 This game does not offer remappable controls, the given control schemes are similar. The game is fast pace and profides few options in customization.

Alan Wake (Xbox 360)
This adventure game is fantastic to play, this game is like a Stephen King movie. The story in this game is great and long, so if you like me and collect everything it will be quite a long time before you finish it to 100%.

WR: Alan Wake (Xbox 360, PC)
Finnish developer Remedy, best known for the Max Payne games has blessed gamers with a thought-provoking suspenseful thriller, set in a beautifully crafted world. Drenched in darkness, you are the light. Moved forward by a well-written narrative we are taken into the world of author Alan Wake.
Pros:
- Intelligent and thought-provoking story
- Eerie atmosphere creates a great sense of tension and anticipation
- Stunning dynamic lighting effects play center stage here
- Beautifully crafted environments with lush and realistic foliage
- Haunting sound effects work very well at setting the game's...
Cons:
- In-game facial models don't always look so good
- Cheap back attacks and overly picky dodge mechanic are annoying
- Left bumper button/left thumbstick combo for dodge move is awkward
- Wake's movements are a bit clunky and he's not very responsive when trying to scale environmental objects
- The game is...

Alan Wake Is Eye Candy Vs. Substance
When Remedy released Max Payne back in 2001, it had been in the works since 1998, and not many critics, myself included, ever thought the game would ever come out. And even more so, we also believed the game wouldn't live up to all the hype that it generated.

Alan Wake Xbox 360 Review
Stephen King is one of the most imaginative and bestselling writers in the world. It's really quite surprising that more games haven't been inspired by his work, or that he hasn't been involved in any gaming stories himself, although surely he's been approached on a number of different occasions to...

Alan Wake Review
At E3 2005, Finnish developer Remedy (of Max Payne fame) pulled me aside for a behind-closed-doors view of a freshly-announced title called Alan Wake. While there was little in the way of actual gameplay, the technology they showcased was beyond anything I'd seen to date.
