Alan Wake - Review
A lot can change in five years. In May 2005, Survival Horror games were reeling from Resident Evil 4 completely rewriting the rules of the genre, the Xbox 360 was still six months away from launch, and we were just starting to hear the first whispers about the upcoming HD console's most promising...
Pros:
- Probably the most atmospheric videogame we've ever played
- Cracking thriller story with well-written characters
- Interesting use of light and dark in combat
Cons:
- Gets a little repetitive towards the end
- No multiplayer or Horde-style mode to add longevity
- Who left all those thermos flasks lying around

Forget Black Ops Zombies Forget Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombie mode, the new walking dead killing machine has just waltzed into town on horseback, wearing a cowboy hat. If you are fed up with the swarms of Nazi zombies, then why not take a shot at an open world adventure set in the Wild West, where...
Pros:
- Ridiculously fun
- with fast paced comical and scary gameplay that fulfils every zombie lover's dream of surviving in an open world game

Alan Wake: Limited Edition (Xbox 360)
Alan Wake has a few reasons’ preventing this from being a perfect game for the Xbox 360. Remedy, nor us the gamers, are perfect. Remedy did make the perfect title for the Xbox that we haven’t seen this generation.
Pros:
- Original Story
- Graphics
- Control
Cons:
- Character Animations
- Character Lip-syncing
- Replay Value

Alan Wake
How the hell do you score a game like Alan Wake? While there's no doubt the adventure should be applauded for its beautiful presentation and clever take on the survival horror genre – and for a second act that hurls players into genuinely terrifying battles that test your nerves, reflexes and...

Alan Wake
Despite it's flaws, Alan Wake is not a game you can miss out on. The five years, although a long time, has clearly been worth it. Alan Wake is like a fine wine; left to age, it really has let the quirky flavours and fun notes of pop culture blossom.
Pros:
- It's Twin Peaks: The Game
- The story is fresh and unique
- The use of light as a weapon is fantastic
Cons:
- Combat can be a bit iffy
- Deaths sometimes feel cheap
- Just not long enough

"Who's afraid of the dark?"
Alan Wake has had a bumpy ride during the course of its development, one that began way back around the release of the Xbox 360 and one time there was even talk of it ever surfacing at all.
