FAIR REVIEW WARNING OTHERS
After completion, here's an honest review with no bullsh!t. The story was phenomenal, a good 8/10. The gameplay was good, a solid 7/10. However, the enemies were overtly overpowered even on a medium difficulty level and you always lost your weapon and ammo after some random event happened.

Magnetic story and interesting gameplay, though its slow in in-game cutscenes but don't let that get you down.
A top notch game in psychological horror and thriller genres, I loved the gameplay and story of Alan Wake. It heavily loans references from Stephen King's works and The X-Files and incorporates an episodic structure for the missions emphasizing its value on the narrative.

Great
A game that's like the last of us on the Xbox 360, yeah that sounds great and it is. The gameplay is great and so are the graphics. The sound makes it feel like you're actually Alan wake. This is a game that I totally recommend in all ways.

Alan Wake UK Review
Hang onto your hats horror fans! It's time for the unlikely videogame comparison of the day! Alan Wake : it's a bit like Atari's 2008 reboot, Alone in the Dark. And it's not just in the trashy tone either: both games skirt recklessly around the outer limits of the horror genre and both are so...

Alan Wake
Alan Wake is an odd game, and will probably benefit from being reexamined in a few years. It's not so much a shooter as it is a five-part episode of "Twin Peaks." People who like it call it surreal and dreamlike, and people who don't call it incomprehensible. Both sides are probably on to something.

It has been a long, long time coming, but Alan Wake is finally ready to make its debut on the Xbox 360. The five plus years of development have been filled with delays and direction changes (notably a shift from open world to a more linear adventure), but the result of that lengthy development...

OXCGN's Alan Wake Review: A Waking Nightmare
So. Alan Wake. The story of the game's development is almost as interesting as the game itself – a twisting tale of extended production, major design changes, exclusivity deals, removal of the PC version and numerous E3 showings that each displayed a seemingly different game.

Creepy...
Son is a regular gamer, BattleField, GTA, Assassins Creed, Halo,Mass Effect etc. I have never seen him scared by a game before! He says it is really creepy at times, very psychological and intense. I like it too. The graphics still look good even though the game is ageing.
