Colonia Essenza is Acqua di Parma Colonia (1916) plus neroli. Not to be too flippant about this scent, but there was no huge overhaul or reimagining of the original. For all intents and purposes, this is a soapier version of the original, and quite honestly, I think I prefer it to Colonia.

This is a a wonderful clean smelling scent. Wears well throughout the day.

This was purchased for my son. He expressed a preference for the scent & I rushed to John Lewis. Where else Pleased with the product & the service & my son was ecstatic that he received something he always wanted. It was a lovely surprise. Love you John Lewis.

I like quite a few of the acqua di parma eau de colognes. Never bought this one before, wish I had. tested in store first, bought it on line and its not my favourite by a long way. Not as fresh smelling as I had hoped. Quite an unusual smell and doesn't seem to last long either.

Neat package, delivered before it was announced (comes from the UK), and smells exactly like the others I have bought in Saks but at much lower price. I'll buy another fragrance from Acqua Di Parma from the same seller again at a reasonable price

If you have a penchant for fragrances, you will inevitably come into contact with the Acqua di Parma brand - usually during a holiday in bella Italia at the latest. And then often the absolute classic, namely the Colonia, is the "entry drug" to further variants.
