This is a nice laptop. Fast, light, quiet, small, decent screen. For general day to day use this is more than sufficient. Even 3D rendering is pretty good on it. Very happy with this.
I bought this for my wife and I probably use it more than her. Very good purchase for the price
I bought this for my son who will be intermediate from next year. He really loves it, it is very light weight and very speedy and no issues so far.
Great value for the price! Ryzen 7 was a steal compared to other laptops around similar price still using Ryzen 5 or i5. Laptop looks and feels good for the price! Obviously can’t compare it to flagships ay difference price brackets. The only con is that sometimes the screen takes a while to start up after sleep/powering up compared to other times. Have had it for nearly a month.
Whether the Acer Swift 7 is the right laptop for you depends on how much you care about its 10mm thickness. If you don’t mind adding a millimetre or five, you can get laptops with more power and better connectivity for the same price. Hardcore users take note. However, if you like the look and the slim frame means a lot to you, the Swift 7 is a very solid option. A great trackpad and slim-but-decent keyboard make this a very enjoyable laptop, particularly as it can last through a day’s work of light tasks.
Laptop regularly overheats or freezes for no reason. I be sending emails and then it freezes or i would be on zoom and then the laptop would become too hot to touch. Also the body flexes a lot, and the hinges don't seem very strong. Definitely a try-before-you-buy product.
The Seal seems unbroken when I checked at the store, as if it was new as promoted when bought. However, once I tried opening the box when I got home, I found that the manufacturer's grey-coloured Seal was actually being covered by a fake white Seal PB Tech used on top, just to cover the original broken one ! That means the box had been opened, and PB Tech probably thinks not being honest to their customers is okay. :(
Well done, AMD. Acer's new 14-inch laptop has AMD's brand-new Ryzen 7 4700U APU on board, which lacks neither CPU nor GPU performance. Good battery life has not been compromised on despite the machine's large computing power, though. The new Swift 3 is well-equipped in other areas too, with Acer including an NVMe SSD, a matte IPS screen, a backlit keyboard and dual-channel RAM.
The Acer Swift 3 SF314-42 is a 14-inch laptop with a sleek and slim metal chassis. All things consid...
matte IPS screen; stylish and slim metal chassis; high system performance; NVMe SSD; excellent battery life; backlit keyboard; runs quietly; low surface temperatures; USB 3.2 Gen2; USB Type-C with DisplayPort & Power Delivery;
dim display; low colour-space coverage; no memory card reader; soldered RAM (no memory banks);
