The K-240 Monitor headphones are the 600-Ohm version of the model line.
Excellent value; the clarity required of professional monitor headphones, great for any listener
The headband's grip could be tighter

I have been running a project studio for around 5 years now. I didn't start out with the flashyest equipment, or with all the knoledge. Over time I have learned a lot, and upgraded my gear. My most recent upgrade is a pare of the AKG K240 series headphones.
We see a fair number of AKG headphones here, but rarely models form the Pro side of the business, which is where these K 240 MK IIs come from.
Comfortable; spacious; even delivery; don't leak as much as the fully open ‘phones
Too soft to dig-up the finest details and dynamic nuances; needs a bit more punch
If you want to hear music uncolored from its source, these are for you. One of the only products I have purchased about which I can report no negatives.
Comfortable; Great Sound; Lightweight
Given other reviews, I was expecting at least a good product. I am not looking for phenomenal sound, just something reasonable that allows me to listen and not bother other people around me.
I purchased this product for a bit of foldback on my Tascam M50 and I went for this model because it has been written up as commonly used by many of the working professionals. The thing to remember about these phones is that they are an openm type so they are not very good for using if you are...
These headphone are awesome, if you don't want to be overpowered with bass these are perfect. They have a crisp sound so much so that I feel like I'm hearing some note's for the first. They are very comfortable to wear for hour's. I would recommend these to anyone.
I've tried many, many, many headphones from $50 to $600. Just to name a few - AKG K702, K701, K271, K171, Koss PRO4AAT, MV-1, Beyerdynamics DT-770, ..... Nevertheless I like these most. Why? Because they're good for everything. Not excellent in every area, but well balanced.
I needed a headphone to play the guitar at night without waking up the family and neighbors. My main criterion is comfort, I can not bear long headphones in general. This is what attracted me to the AKG, I can wear long without it bothers me. It comes with two different pads for comfort.
The construction is sturdy, the cups are comfortable and completely sit around ears. Sound quality is very very good. The coiled cable is an extremely nice addition. Bass response is very light. Some people may not like this. The semi-open design allows for a lot of leakage, both in and out.
