These are cheaper EVERYWHERE else!
I have been an AKG fan for over 40 years! I am on my THIRD pair in forty years! The first model I had was AKG 141 and after hearing the K240's I am forever spoiled by this pure sound these deliver.

Great headphones
I bought this pair over a year ago and love them. Use them daily, sometimes for hours, comfortable and with an audio reproduction that I really find comfortable and extremely hi-fidelity. Would recommend for anyone wearing headphones for extended periods in the day or night.

Bought the AKG K250 MKII to replace the K240 that I used for 10 years. After researching other options decided to go with this model because I like the semi-open back sound, comfort, addition of an extra detachable coiled cable and extra set of ear pads.

"Professional studio standard - best mixing headphones"
I feel uncomfortable throwing phrases like "best in the world", but in case of these headphones I have a backing. Every studio I went into had several pairs of these hanging on a wall.
Pros:
- Flat frequency response for clearest possible sound
Cons:
- Big and fragile

AKG 240 Studio
Bought at Guitar Center for $69 in July of 2016. QC seems very good. Comfortable to wear. Screw on 1/8th adapter makes nice solid connection. So far so good, hope it lasts....73 K1WJ
