iPhone XS Max 64GB

If the iPhone XS is described as Apple's flagship iPhone, how do you describe the XS Max? You could say this is a flagship iPhone that takes it to the max. it's big and beautiful!

A true big screen experience

There's something cinematic about the screen of the XS Max. It's the biggest ever on an iPhone - 6.5 inches and resolution of 2688 x 1242 px. With this sort of screen, the XS Max promises an awesome experience when watching a movie, or gaming.

The power to deliver huge entertainment

Gaming and movie watching on a big screen might be one thing, but you need power and performance to make these activities smooth and seamless. Thanks to the A12 Bionic chip and Neural Engine, the entertainment flows in lag-free fashion, with graphics performance improved by 50% on its already impressive predecessor.

Stereo sound

The XS Max rounds out this entertainment experience with louder speakers and stereo capabilities; a welcome feature for gamers and movie watchers alike.

Cool cameras

The dual-camera system, incorporating Smart HDR and 4K video recording, is making nearly as many waves as that awesome screen. Apple says this is the dawn of a new era of photography, certainly as far as phone cameras are concerned.

All this, and so much more

While the screen and cameras capture most of the attention, the XS Max is also big on features and functionality in every respect. Things like Face ID, Super Retina OLED display, fast & wireless charging, a great range of built-in apps, and everything else you could want in an iPhone, put the XS Max firmly in flagship territory. There's more to this iPhone than that big and beautiful screen!

Apple iPhone XS Max 512GB

Apple's new iPhone XS Max is incredibly fast with a gorgeous display and very impressive cameras. Equally impressive is the price tag, comparable to a down-payment on a small car

IP-68 rated; A12-Bionic is the fastest SoC in the market as of now; Class-leading display with HDR10 and Dolby Vision certification

Unnecessarily expensive; No fast charger in the box; No Lightning-to-3.5mm converter in the box

Apple iPhone XS Max review: Comes at a price, but you won't regret it

Picture this. There is a shiny chrome finish coffee maker on the table. Someone places another object near it and it starts reflecting on chrome. All very normal, till I tell you only the table is real here, the coffee maker as well as the very real, real-time reflections on it are all augmented...

Apple iPhone Xs Max: Apple's high roller is a bit too rich

It's early days yet for the iPhone Xs Max. I haven't had the phone for a huge amount of time just yet, so inevitably my thoughts and feelings about it may evolve. But from what I've seen so far, I've been impressed with it.

Big; glorious; front-filling screen; Stupendous performance; Decent battery life

Expensive; Pricey; Costly

The iPhone Xs Max has a silly name and an even sillier price, but it's as good as it gets

Perfect replacement for my tired 7 plus I was really happy with. No revolutionary difference, one recognizes himself, but still it is clear that one refines the right things. The screen is the most obvious. In zoom mode, the cinemascope fills the entire surface.

iPhone XS Max review

In some ways the XS Max could be your perfect phone. It brings the option of a larger screen to those for whom 5.8in just isn’t enough and is the first iPhone to cater for those who need two SIMs. It also brings upgrades to photos (Smart HDR), videos (extended dynamic range) and audio (better stereo). However, it remains tricky to justify the high price (from £1,099), especially if 64GB isn’t enough storage for you. Battery life could be better and while performance is great, it isn’t a huge jump up from the iPhone 8 or X. The upcoming iPhone XR could be a better alternative if you’re after something cheaper, too. And if your current phone isn’t an iPhone 6, 7 or 8 Plus, go to an Apple store and try out an XS Max for size before you buy.

iPhone XS Max review

One criticism we often used to hear about the iPhone X is that its 5.8-inch screen simply wasn’t big enough. In 2017, big-screen lovers had to opt for the less fully-featured iPhone 8 Plus to get the most real estate. Not anymore: Smartphone shoppers in 2018 and 2019 have the option of the Apple iPhone XS Max, which offers the biggest screen available in an iPhone to date, along with many top-shelf features such as Face ID. It’s the perfect option for people who want to upgrade from older Plus models. For the first time in a while, you no longer have to choose between features when looking at the iPhone XS and XS Max. In the past, opting for the smaller iPhone over the Plus model meant sacrificing some features such as the dual camera. With the iPhone XS and XS Max, that’s no longer the case. Both phones have the same features, except they differ in battery and screen size. As such, you’d hardly find any differences design-wise over last year’s iPhone X. The front carries the now-iconi...

Stunning, massive OLED screen; Solid battery life; Excellent performance; Beautiful design and build; Smart HDR greatly improves camera;

Difficult to use one-handed; Expensive; No fast-charging cable or headphone jack dongle included;
