Reviewing the ZT230 more than the company. URL, below, for this product stated "Ethernet ready" and both Direct Thermal (no ribbon spoolers, gears) and Thermal Transfer (ribbon spoolers), however in the questions it states that this product is Direct Thermal ONLY...

The Zebra ZT230 is a very heavy and solid industrial printer. Functionality is pretty good. Not the easiest to load the Ribbon & Labels thru but, once loaded works quite well. The Zebra Printer Software - Sold Separately is a little cumbersome to work with. Not for a novice.

Price is cheap but Additional parts are required for this printer to print out of box.
