Mental Gymnastics

SuperHyperCube is a game that is both at home and imprisoned in VR. Set in a dreamlike space composed of geometric patterns and streaks of color, it eschews the touchstones of reality in favor of atmosphere that tickles the senses with special effects.

Beautiful atmosphere; Puzzle concept shows a lot of potential

VR doesn't meaningfully benefit gameplay; Inexplicably exclusive to VR; Limited abilities make prolonged success feel out of reach; Success often comes down to chance in later levels

Until Dawn (for PlayStation 4)

Until Dawn isn't much of a game, but it's a very good interactive horror movie. If you're the kind of gamer who likes fast-paced, visceral action, then this isn't the game for you; go play Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain .

A suspenseful, engaging, well-written horror story; Very good voice acting; Highly detailed world to explore

Very poor lip sync detracts from otherwise good acting; Occasional glitches detract from gameplay

Until Dawn: a dark night rises

As cheesy horror goes, you've never had it this pretty or entertaining but when it comes to a one off experience, Until Dawn is expensive interactive terror.

Its a bloodstained love letter to every horror movie youve ever seen; The tone of 90s schlock horror is down to a fine art; The pace isnt afraid to make you wait for scares (of which there are plenty

Youll feel somewhat cheated when it comes to early decisions making a difference; For a full price game; this is a painfully short experience; Replay value is diminished by set plot points throughout the game

Until Dawn: Rush of Blood Review

Even as a mere horror-flavored rail shooter lacking in any serious scares, isn't terrible. Responsive, arcade-style shooting, the frequency of collectibles, optional side passages that add some sense of exploration to the linear rollercoaster, and an end-of-level letter grade system offer plenty of...

Choose Wisely

Interactive movies (IMs) get dinged harder than they deserve when it comes to player choice. After all, the vast majority of games are linear affairs-an innumerable number have players moving from cut-scene to cut-scene until credits roll.

Welcome to the circus

A solid game that definitely has an audience. Might lack replay value, could be too short or there are some hard-to-ignore faults, but the experience is fun.

An easy recommendation for those looking to munch on some popcorn while you get the crap scared out of you.

An intense horror experience shaped by your decisions and indecisions

Some slight control issues and structural quirks hamper some of the replayability

Until Dawn

Until Dawn was originally conceived to be a PS3 title that took full advantage of the system's capabilities and that of the PlayStation Move. After what seemed like a last-minute decision, that version of the game was scraped and re-imagined for Sony's new console, the PS4.
