The Saboteur

The Saboteur mixes up the standard setting that most open world action adventures flock to by using a World War II theme instead. It's a setting that the genre hasn't touched before and for the most part it pulls off an impressive and unique experience. The game is available on Windows, Xbox 36...

Vive la France

It is unavoidable to talk about The Saboteur without making comparisons to it's influences. Influences that it makes no attempt to disguise: free-running from Assassins Creed, over-the-shoulder shooting from Gears of War, an open-world mission structure and countless other nods to Grand Theft Auto.

Saboteur, The

In concept, Pandemic game's The Saboteur is ambitious and exciting. An interesting and theatrical storyline teamed with artistically inspired visuals and an open WWII Paris to explore. Could this be the game that bridges the gap in the long running debate of games vs. art

Following the news that Pandemic Studios was recently closed as part of EA's streamlining program, the developer's final title, The Saboteur, takes on even more significance. Not simply another open world action title, the game is now officially the last farewell to Pandemic.

The Saboteur Review

The only thing more played out more than WWII is perhaps open-world action. Nevertheless, both conventions are overused for a reason: they have great video game potential. In the case of The Saboteur, they combine to provide for a compelling if uninventive experience.

Pandemic Studios invites you to experience the ultimate open-world action/adventure -- as The Saboteur. Fight, climb, and race your way through a uniquely stylized version of Nazi-occupied France, and hunt down your sworn enemies who have taken everything from you.

Needs less talking and more car-bombing Hitler.

I have a love hate relationship with this game, the graphics are ok given the year it came out but there is a very long list of graphical bugs that occur when I am playing. the theme is ok and the free roam is amazing (its hard to beet bombing Nazis) but the story is rather lackluster and...

Fantastic open world

This game is just one of the best "GTA-Like" available. The ambiance is fantastic, you really feel as a spy in the Paris of the 40s, occupied by the Nazis. There is a large number and variety of cars.

The new Bang

When the rules were explained to me of Saboteur (Z-man Games, 2005 – Frederic Moyersoen), I immediately thought that the game seemed like a combination of Waterworks and Mille Bornes , two games I absolutely despise.

Lots of fun, fairly open play

This game is an amazing sleeper. Shame on EA for not promoting it. Pandemic's swans song for sure. It was their best and last. I am surprised by the polish of this game. Others have said some bugs, yet I have yet to have had any. Very impressed with the game. It is addictive.

I had bought this game for the PS3 first because it was on sale; My kids loved it; So I thought I would give it a go on PC; Better! You can blow lots of stuff up; Killing N--Is (NewEgg won't let you use the word for these Germans) never gets old.

The only thing I really like/hate is that when you die you have a choice to load a game or return to HQ; Either choice and you are sent back to HQ; But choosing the HQ over load a game gives everything you did to you before you died except weapons so you have to go buy the ammo again.
