Why did I wait a year to get this

This game is so fantastic, I regret not buying a switch and this game a year ago. Most fun I have had on a video game since the ds and 3ds era's. Definitely would recommend this game to anyone that plays video games

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (for Nintendo Switch)

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is massive, dense, and incredibly satisfying to explore. It suffers from a few frustrations, most notably the strange desaturation filter that pervades the graphics, but they're all easily forgivable when held against the sheer scope and variety of what you...

Massive, diverse open world; Tons of clever puzzles; Wide variety of things to see and do

Strange desaturation filter makes the game appear hazy; Combat is frustrating early on; Weapon durability is a nuisance

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild review

All that has been either swept aside or remade from first principles. It's hard to overstate the courage and conviction with which producer Eiji Aonuma, director Hidemaro Fujibayashi and their team have rewritten their own work, and the size of the risk Nintendo has taken with a beloved property.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Review – A Whole New World

I'm just going to jump straight into it. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is bloody hard. It's honestly one of the hardest games I've ever played. Now usually, I wouldn't be into games which you can die over and over again, but I was actually quite fond of it in Breath of the Wild.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Nintendo, in particular with the Zelda series, has already flirted with open-world design and adding little RPG touches here and there, and with varying degrees of success. If you look closely enough you can see that Breath of the Wild is something that they've been building up to over the course of...

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Review

It's been some time since I've fallen so madly in love with a video game. In fact, I've not felt this way about a Zelda game since Ocarina (3D) or Link to the Past (2D), but Breath of the Wild is enor

Entertaining for every second; Stunning to look at; A completely modernised take on Zelda

Frame drops; Some texture fade in

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (for Nintendo Switch) Review

Hyrule is in danger again, and Link must save it. That's been the theme for nearly every Legend of Zelda game, and it's still the case in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The series' basic premise and Link/Zelda/Ganon dynamic are present, but nearly everything else is different. The classic Zelda dungeon-exploration structure is replaced by a huge open world that's filled with monsters, puzzles, and quests. Breath of the Wild's scope is one previously unseen in the Zelda series, and Nintendo executes the adventure-filled world with aplomb. Breath of the Wild ($59.99) is a must-buy Nintendo Switch ($299.99 at Best Buy)(Opens in a new window) game, and an Editors' Choice. It's also available on Wii U ($1,688.00 at Amazon)(Opens in a new window) . Another Link In Breath of the Wild ($59.88 at Amazon)(Opens in a new window) you once again play Link, the constantly reincarnating elf boy tasked with saving Hyrule and Princess Zelda from Ganon. This time you're a Link from the pa...

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the biggest, most impressive Zelda game yet, and a fantastic launch title for the Nintendo Switch.

Link to the Future

No game is perfect, but comes as close as it could get within its genre. The new game to beat in its sector; we're talking pure video game ecstasy.
