After having wifi network range issues at my 60 year old double brick house (router was installed in one corner of the house), I looked online for solutions. I tried an extender, which did nearly nothing to add to my speed. I have recently seen mesh networks, but to me seemed very similar to the wifi extenders and wasnt sold on their ability to make a large impact. I then found online the final alternative which was the powerline wifi kit, which sends the signal through the electrical circuits in the house. I bought this kit from Harvey Norman for $188 (RRP $269 everywhere else) and it has absolutely worked over and beyond my expectations. From getting 11mbs from my TPG router (100mbs plan), I am now getting my actual 100mbs in my room which is the furthest point in the house!
