Street Fighter V

Launching on Windows and PS4 (with cross platform play) is the fifth game in the Street Fighter franchise features the same mechanics that you've come to love with 4 fresh faces to fight with and against in the various game modes. With M. Bison achieving unimaginable power the Earth falls...

Street Fighter 5

Street Fighter 5 is deep, endlessly fun, and immensely inviting, but local competitive play is currently the primary way to enjoy it.

As inviting, accessible, and explorable as Street Fighter has ever been, Genuinely endless fun in local vs; multiplayer, New systems bring down the learning hurdles

Very limited single-player content at launch; Online performance is highly inconsistent

Street Fighter V Review

Let's get the bad news out of the way: Street Fighter V is releasing without a few of its modes. Challenges, the full cinematic story, and the in-game store are all missing at launch, meaning things

The most beautiful; fluid and accessible Street Fighter to date; V-System is an inspired addition to classic gameplay; Deep and varied roster of fighters

Missing modes at launch; Online has been spotty so far

Street Fighter V Review – Capcom Reclaims the Title for Best Fighting Game of a Generation

EDITOR'S NOTE: We're giving away a PC copy and a PS4 copy of the game. Be sure to enter! Street Fighter V is a tricky game to review. On the one hand, it is arguably the best fighting game of all-time, gameplay-wise.

Tight; balanced 2D-plane Street Fighter -perfect gameplay; Fantastic music; Lots of extra content on the way

Only available modes are online; versus; and a brief story mode; Looks like Street Fight IV

Street Fighter V Review

In my nine years of reviewing video games professionally, I've never wanted to not score a game as much as I do for Street Fighter V . For all intents and purposes, this launch version of Street Fighter V is as ready to be reviewed in full as an Early Access game on Steam.

Robust fighting system that rewards skill; V-Skills; V-Triggers; V-Reversals; Satisfactory roster so far; Strong training options; Survival mode; Generally smooth online performance

Story Mode is an afterthought; No Arcade mode or Versus CPU option; Minor clipping issues; Tags

Online mode unplayable, Single player non-existent...THIS NOT WORTH +60 f****** dollars, this is how a company destroy a great game with a great gameplay, GG Capcom.

Stumbles Out The Gate

On February 15th, I waited all day for the Street Fighter V launch. I kept glancing at the countdown on my PS4, and midnight couldn't come fast enough. All new Street Fighter releases have been this way for me going back to Capcom vs. Snk on the Dreamcast.

Street Fighter V Review

The story has never really taken the forefront in the Street Fighter franchise and Street Fighter V is definitely not going to be bucking that trend – at least not yet. The game takes place between the events of Street Fighter III and the more recently released Street Fighter IV – giving Capcom more...

It's fun, but plagued with server issues.

1 - Would I recommend this to people Yes of course, it's street fighter through and through. 2 - Would I purchase this product again No, two copies of the same game won't help me against really good players. Must train more. 3 - The only thing I would change is the exclusivity deal.

I will get right to the point; If you like the street fighter series, get it; It's fun and when it works well it is a blast to play; It does feel bare bones at the moment, but getting a fighting game early will help master the mechanics and have a head up over those late to the party.

The cons however are considerable right now; The game feels bare; It is plagued with server issues, but appear to be improving compared to how things felt on launch day; I recommend playing casual matches online as sometimes results cannot be uploaded to the server after a match.

Street Fighter 5 review

The combat, though, is king, and Street Fighter 5 once again proves Capcom is fighting game royalty. It usually takes years for the fighting game community to deliver a verdict on a new Street Fighter (the debate over Street Fighter 4 rages even now, eight years later), but at launch we can safely...
