Ive had this camera a little less that a year and have treated it VERY good. Ive never dropped it and always kept it in a protective pouch. Up until the problem today it was an OK camera, although the image quality was nice in the day time, it had slow focus issues and poor performance in low light.

"I bought this one like a year ago. Pretty good performance at sunny day, outdoor environment recording. However, when I use it for indoor or low light environment, it will create a lot of noise on my footage. It happened even when I turn down that AGC to zero and set my IRIS to F1.8.

Nice light compact camcorder. Only disappointment was the fact it does not come with a charger that can be plugged into a wall. For the price I would expect it as one costs an extra ￡20 to buy. Would have got full five stars if it have had wall charger.

This camera has a great design and is easy to use. Good picture quality and reasonable audio. So why do I pan it Poor quality. I owned mine for 2 1/2 years, treated it well, and a visual component is now making noise. The noise shows up in my videos and it's very annoying.

One correction should be noted. the sensor is 1/2.3", not 1", but that never mattered to me. I have had this for nearly 2 years and have taken it to reenactments, encampments, airshows and vacations where a lot of walking was required. Sony's BOSS stabilization is fantastic.

I purchased this for creating videos for my YouTube channel and, although I haven't used all of the camera features, it does a great job. The picture quality is excellent, sharp with good colour and the image stabiliser works wonderfully.

I bought this model because my earlier (non-Sony) camcorder lacked a separate microphone input, something I needed when shooting drama/comedy films at my local videomaking club, and missing on so many other non-professional cameras.

Bought this a few weeks ago and really glad i did. Great product easy to use with some excellent features e.g. slow motion. Once I got the correct memory card to record in 4k the picture quality is just unbelievable!! Would definitely recommend.

This camera has manual audio input levels... Perfect for recorded loud rock bands...
