The original Sonic & Allstars racing was a brilliant game that for me came out of nowhere. I assumed it would be a bad kart game but instead I got a high quality piece of software with hours of fun.

It's not really a mario kart clone but it has quite a variety of crazy tracks that go all over the place; Tracks are constantly changing every lap

Not sure if it's my system or the game but the game constantly freezes up and will require you to hard reset; I updated to the latest patch and even tried to install the game to the hard drive but the game will play for a couple of races but then freezes up all the sudden.

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing (OXM rating: 7.5) didn't leave a strong mark on the weapon-centric kart-racing genre, nor was it quite as polished as its primarily influence ( Mario Kart ), but the 2010 racer did put an entertaining spin on a well-worn formula.

I Love this game, it takes me back to when i was younger and used to play games like diddy kong racing, Mario Kart, and so forth. This game is made with the utmost beautiful graphics and i could not stop playing until i had completed the who campaign.

Put all thoughts of Mario Kart clones to rest – Sega's latest on-wheels outing for the spiky blue blur really deserves to be judged on its own merits. While the core formula of zooming around colourful locales, collecting power-ups and hitting boost panels is here in full force, All-Stars Racing...

In the rare instances where a developer invents a new and interesting genre, or even alters an existing genre so much that it becomes a genuine offshoot, it's only a matter of time before another team steals the limelight.

Brilliant rental game for 4 friends to play if you don't own a Wii and Mario kart. Next best thing really.
