Skate 3 (Xbox 360)

Have you ever played a Tony Hawk game? You know, that incredibly popular skateboarding series that was recently run into the ground due to stagnating gameplay? This game is nothing like that. In fact, this is the series helped drive the stake into Tony's (game's) heart.

Improved off-board actions; multiple difficulties; skate.Park (create-a-park); physics

Frequent random glitches; divided map; didn't care for soundtrack

Reviewed: Skate 3 (360, PS3)

The Skate franchise is now in a league of its own.  The original Skate title burst onto the scene and brought a freshness to proceedings which eventually toppled the tired Tony Hawk franchise.

A significant number of improvements make Skate 3 more than a glorified expansion pack; multiplayer mode offers a wealth of possibilities

SKATE 3 Review

SKATE is one of those games that you either get or you don't. If you've played the previous two games, chances are you're either a pro at stringing together fantastic tricks, or on the opposite side, your best achievement was breaking a majority of the bones in your body in Hall of Meat mode.

Grow a company with friends in this realistic skating sim.

Parents need to know that while Skate 3 is rated "Teen" it's a lot tamer than many other similarly rated games, such as those that focus heavily on shooting people. This is a skateboarding sim with an arcade twist that folds in community features and cooperation.

Skate 3

Welcome to an EA review. Usual protocol. We'll be discussing whether or not this sequel adds anything new, exactly how much you can expect EA to sodomise your wallet and how dreadful the soundtrack is. You know, the standard EA discussion points. Actually scratch that.

Skate 3

The past few years have totally changed the way we look at skateboard games, once Tony Hawk was the be all and end all but recent releases have been tired affairs. Rather than just do a good skateboard game the Black Box team have created the definitive skater for this current generation with the...

Skate 3 Review

There is no denying that " Skate 3 " is a highly enjoyable feature packed title and adds strength to it's title as the leading title in the genre. In addition Skate 3 proves that expensive gimmicks are not needed to make an authentic skateboarding game.
