Wow. I bought this lens to use for portraits, because I was previously using the Lumix 42.5mm, but wanted an upgrade, and let me tell you! This lens is amazing! Great colors and great depth of field. I bought it from Amazon warehouse for a cheaper price, but it works just fine.
The Sigma 60mm f2.8 is exceedingly sharp right from f/2.8 across the entire frame of my Sony A6500. It is a great lens for portraits, with an equivalent 90mm focal length and the f2.8 it gives enough plane of focus with nice smooth bokeh.
I come from Nikon full frame Nikon Df- still love it and all the D and AIS lenses that go with it, never wanted a video capability but had plenty of investment in the Nikon system. Up until last year the lugging around did not hurt but now the hand tingles and you can feel the load.
Excellent optical quality on a Sony APS-C sensor, great for portraits, autofocus is good but remember it's a third party lens. Nice build quality, and comes with a hood and bag, it out performs lenses many times the price. If you are expanding your collection to include some primes it's a must have.
This is a great lens on my Sony A6000. Images are super sharp. Just got for it.
Excellent quality of construction, superb sharp pictures and great value for money. Pairs well with the equally brilliant Olympus 45mm f1.8. I also own the Sigma 24mm f1.4 'Art' for my full frame Nikon and it is very obvious to me that Sigma are building a collection of these 'Art' series lenses...
Beautifully Engineered; Consistent Output; Creamy Bokeh; Lightweight; Quick Focus; Shallow Dof; Sharp Focus
Rattles When Camera 'off
Fixed focal length of 60mm, Good ability in background separation,
Easy to use; Compact
Sigma's third lens for mirrorless CSCs is the 60mm f/2.8 DN A, which covers the same angle of view as a 120mm lens on a 35mm camera with the Micro Four Thirds system or 90mm on the Sony E-mount system.
Great lens, pin sharp on portraiture, excellent value and they include a hood and pouch which is a nice touch. Is very good at showing fine detail in the face. Get one!
Very sharp
Bit slow to focus on an OLympus E-P2 in low light but that is the Oly I think
