Does the Sennheiser HD 569 provide the advantages of closed over-ear headphones for home cinema, hi-fi enjoyment and PC games We'll check it out!
Sennheiser is at its best when it isn't responding to trends and instead focuses on what made it an iconic headphone brand in the first place. Look no further than the $179.99 HD 569 for a perfect example of this. Current fashionable choices like booming lows and luxurious-looking materials that look like they came from the inside of a Ferrari are absent here. Instead the circumaural (over-the-ear) headphones have an accurate low frequency response that can push out extremely deep sub-bass, but only do so when the mix calls for it. Visually, the design is simple, with matte plastic complemented by comfortable, plush earpads. The Sennheiser HD 569 will please music and home theater aficionados who want a clean, accurate sound signature in a design that will stay comfortable over long listening periods. The Sennheiser HD 569 headphones are exceptionally comfortable and deliver a rewardingly rich and clear audio experience.
Crisp, clear sound signature with accurate bass depth; Ships with two detachable cables, one with inline remote and mic, one with 0.25-inch headphone connection; Comfortable fit over long listening sessions
Not for booming bass fans
Pros: -Sound is very balanced, does not over saturate the highs or the lows. - Comfortable ear pads, does not chafe. - Cables are durable, I have snagged these many times on furniture. The force would break or cut open some lower quality cables. - Comes with both 3.5mm and 6mm headphone cable.
We've already covered the HD 559, HD 579, and HD 599, but today we're taking a look at the Sennheiser HD 569 – an oddball headphone in the new 5 Series lineup. With some features mirroring the higher end 579 and 599, though, just how different is this headphone?
The Sennheiser HD569, while relatively new, delivers a mature and high-value experience due to its roots going back a decade and more in the Sennheiser HD5xx line. Build quality, comfort, and styling are simply superb.
PRO: Great sound, extremely comfortable; What I expect from Sennheiser's HD line of headphones
CON: Cable jack sticks too far out, can brush up against collar; I use this with a bluetooth headphone amp clipped onto the headband (I hate being tethered to my desk)
