I bought this to use on a kick drum and its everything I was looking for. packs easily, quick set up. The only thing I don't like is the molded threading on the mic stand adapter. After three years I'm starting to feel the "slip" of the threads that lets me know its about to strip.

The Sennheiser E 602 II is an affordable microphone designed by Sennheiser specifically to work with "bass instruments." This means that it will probably get utilized most often on kick drums.

I use them on toms when I want some rock beef ..I have 421's too but I end up using the 602's more for rock .. For faster tempo songs I like it better than my B52 on Kick
