Samyang AF F2.8 FE Lens review

Some lenses are a real pleasure to use, and the Samyang AF 35mm f/2.8 FE falls into this category. The technical quality is excellent, the AF is fast and accurate and the results look punchy with superb colour rendition.

Excellent sharpness, Low CA, Low flare, Fast and accurate AF, Compact and light, Pleasant bokeh, Well priced

No full-time manual focus in AF mode, No weather resistance

Samyang AF F2.8 FE Lens review

While it's a shame that picture and sound quality haven't been upgraded, the iPhone 13 was great in these regards and the iPhone 14 is, too Excellent display Admirable headphone performance Solid build quality No upgrades to picture or sound Familiar design Notch is still present

Samyang AF F2.8 FE Lens review

Apple's latest non-Pro iPhone is superb - it's just that it's strikingly similar to last year's effort.

Still an incredible smartphone, Brilliant battery life gets a bit better, Excellent camera system gets a bit better

Last year’s Pro hardware, Wireless charging slow by modern standards, No USB-C; it’s now well overdue

Samyang AF F2.8 FE Lens review

For a great many Sony full-frame users, the little Samyang AF 35mm f/2.8 FE looks like an obvious addition to the kit bag – but APS-C camera users may want to look elsewhere.

Small and easy to carry, Impressive optics, Generally quick autofocus, Supplied with neat lens case, Less than half the price of Sony equivalent

Slightly plasticky build, Inconvenient hood design

Samyang AF F2.8 FE Lens review

The new Samyang AF 35mm f/2.8 FE is a very affordable, high-quality wide-angle lens for Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras. In terms of image quality, sharpness is good when shooting wide-open at f/2.8, becoming even better from f/4 onwards, but the edges aren't quite as sharp as the centre, with...

Samyang AF F2.8 FE Lens review

More like an iPhone 13S. The generational upgrades for the iPhone 14 are limited to a few subtle changes. At the same time, however, the base price climbs to 800 USD, while the only true innovation happens inside the iPhone 14 Pro series.

excellent OLED display, dust- and waterproof, fast Wi-Fi, wide range of supported frequencies, great camera, very fast performance, good battery life

display limited to 60 Hz, charging rate limited to 20 watts, no macro lens, wide notch

Samyang AF F2.8 FE Lens review

The Apple iPhone 14 is no match for the just-released iPhone 14 Pro, but if you ignore that, it’s one of the most effective phones around.

Great cameras, front and back, Fast performance, Good battery life, Innovative safety features

Design too familiar, Some average features

Samyang AF F2.8 FE Lens review

“The iPhone 14 isn't a huge upgrade compared to its predecessor. But with a great design, screen, performance, and cameras, that's far from a bad thing at all.”

Comfortable, high-end build, OLED screen looks fantastic, A15 chip performs great, Good camera upgrades, Dependable battery life, Helpful safety features

60Hz display, No telephoto camera, eSIM might be a pain for some

Samyang AF F2.8 FE Lens review

The iPhone 14 isn’t much of an upgrade over the iPhone 13, but it’s still a great device and an upgrade for anyone coming from the iPhone 11 or older.

Great camera, Good battery, Emergency features are cool, Still excellent performance

Display could use some upgrades
