Kind of Dissapointed

I bought a n8010 in October 2013 (Just before they changed to the identical "2014 Edition"). Earlier this year Samsung announced this new version which is essentially identical to the 2012 one with kit-kat on it.

Nice screen; hardware features

Horrible Samsung OS updates (non-existent

Samsung has certainly brought the 10.1 inch Note on in this new edition and there are lots of really nice features. Still, this is an expensive tablet and you are going to have to really want that pen based input to stump up.

poor charging capability

Samsung didn't provide adequate charging capacity. You can't use the tablet and charge at the same time. The charger loses ground to the current used by the device. Cranking down brightness doesn't help either.

Built-in speakers; Bright display; Realistic color

very poor charging capacity

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) review

As PC sales continue to shrink, the notion of a productivity-friendly tablet is becoming increasingly popular – at least among device makers. Microsoft's original Surface and Surface RT made a big splash, ultimately sank, but that hasn't stopped the company from trying again, with the recent...

Standout multi-tasking features; Ultra-high-resolution display; Top-notch specs; S Pen is a better fit here than on the Note 3; Improved aesthetics over previous model

More expensive than the current-generation iPad; Some performance glitches persist; despite high-end specs; Abundance of features can be confusing

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition Tablet Review

Just over a year ago, Samsung broadened its Note portfolio to not only include phones, but tablets as well. The company saw a need to introduce a slate that catered to working professionals, power users, and those who need more content creation capabilities -- hence, the  Galaxy Note 10.1 with the S...

Decent battery life; Nice design; Functional S Pen and associated software

Occasional Lag; Pricey; Lackluster gaming performance

Almost perfect!

The tablet is pretty good. It performs well with a little lag every now and then. One thing that was a bit of a let down was the S Voice as it is quite poor compared to the iPhones Siri. Other that that, the tablet is great!

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition)

The original Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 was one of our favorite tablets at the time of its release. Its built-in stylus, IR-emitter, and split screen multitasking made it a productivity powerhouse that other tablets just couldn't match.

Excellent multitasking; Sharp, vibrant display; Pressure sensitive stylus with useful software integration.

Buggy at times; Expensive

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition Review: In Depth

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition is a significant improvement on the previous model. It's better designed, feels nicer in use, packs more features and is generally a tablet we'd be pleased to pull out in a public place.

Beautiful screen; S Pen stylus adds flexibility; Great design

User experience not as slick as we'd like; Faux leather back will divide opinion; Smart stay still annoying

My Note

This was my first Samsung not my first tablet. It's got beautiful colors, great features . It's light and fast. I'd like to see a different s pen . I love it! I hated the price so I got it refurbished and I'm not sorry I did. I did put it in a case AFTER I dropped it once so be careful.

Beautiful pictures; Bright display; Built-In Speakers; Fast; Lightweight; nice help pop-ups; Realistic color

Way to go, Samsung

I'm an Apple fanatic, and I already own an iPad. However, I found myself with store credit for Office Depot and I wasn't going to buy hundreds of dollars in printing paper and toner. I went to the store and checked out this tablet.
