It's a little lacking in RAM even for the money and the fact that it's on an older version of Android is disappointing too, though it's only slightly outdated, but those are the only major marks against it, so if you can live with that then the Samsung Galaxy J1 is a great value purchase.

Launched earlier last week , the Samsung Galaxy J1 2016 was not only priced at RM449, it also came free with a YES 4G LTE prepaid SIM card preloaded with 30GB of data (15GB a month x 2). We managed to do an unboxing and go hands-on with both but you can see the results for yourself below.

The Samsung Galaxy J1 model year 2016 left a somewhat mixed impression in our review. Samsung improved the entry-level device at some points. This clearly includes the SAMOLED screen, which can convince in all areas except for the low resolution.

After going through several Blu phones over the last few years, I finally decided to purchase a Samsung. I am not the type to need the newest phone or anything fancy. But wasting $100 on a Blu phone every 7months wasn't cutting it for me. This Samsung is by far a better product and a great price.

I bought two J1(4G) at same time on 16th Jan 2017 because the trust that I have for Samsung devices. But I was very disappotment with one of then. It lags little bit, I am a Samsung galaxy users for past 6 years, But I do not have this experiene. But the other one works fine as expected .

The cell phone is not working. It gets very hot. Also it only picks up a signal now and then.. I have been told it is Chinese made

I was given this phone for my birthday last year and can confirm it is just plain terrible. The battery sometimes goes from 20-30% to 5% or even 1% in an instant, without any warning or reason, even with low power usage settings turned on.
