Samsung Gear Fit works fine for outdoor running, cycling activities. Perhaps, this is what it is designed for. If you are planning to buy this fancy wrist gadget to flaunt around at the gym, it will only disappoint as a fitness gear.

Fab Aesthetics; Smartwatch functions; Useful S Health Application

Below average battery; No option to reduce screen brightness; Cannot track Gym exercises

Slap on a Pebble, Sony's Smart Watch or one of the many smartwatches that are vying for a place on your wrist, and the inevitable questions follow – "So what exactly does this thing do?" or "Why do you need notifications on your wrist when you can just pull out your phone from your pocket?

Better battery life than the first-gen Gear; good UI and hardware design; comfortable to wear

Tightly tied into Samsung-only devices; no third party apps; charging a pain; heart rate accuracy issues

Samsung launched the Gear Fit along with the Gear 2 Smartwatch. The Gear Fit is another wearable device designed for style, comfort and can keep a log of your fitness activities. Gear Fit – as the name suggest is for fitness conscious users.

Buy the Samsung Gear Fit now for $204.95 from Amazon Advances in technology have certainly played a big role in making our lives a whole lot easier, but with almost everything now available at the tip of your fingers, it has also been a contributing factor in making us a lot lazier.

As you guys know, I'm kind of into the whole fitness band thing. I've talked about my dedication to Nike's platform , including the Fuelband (which I recently retired). I've picked up random Kickstarter items like the Misfit Shine , all because I'm constantly looking for something to help track my...

Nah, only get this if it goes under $100. Fitbit does better than this, even though it does not do notification synching and no big, curved screen. Fitbit's also got a better battery life. PS. The Gear Fit2 is a huge improvement over this thing. Get it if you consider it cheap.

Curved; amoled screen; Some neat features including HRM; Great battery life; Notification sync

Design is nice, but the narrow width makes it look kinda weird, Build quality is a meh--plastic everywhere; Except for the stiff-ish silicone band, Steps can get really inaccurate sometimes

Samsung Gear Fit

The Samsung Galaxy Gear Fit is a cross between a fitness tracker and a smartwatch. That means you have the ability to monitor and log daily activities, like walking or cycling, and get smartphone functionality like the ability to reject incoming calls or control music.

Nice; bright display; Heart rate integration for exercise activities; Useful media controller

Poor battery life; Data-logging issues with S Health; Sleep tracking not very insightful; Heart rate sensor is temperamental

Samsung Gear Fit

The Gear Fit might just be the first piece of wearable technology we actually looked forward to putting on. Ever since getting our first look at the device at the Samsung Galaxy S5 launch event, we couldn't wait to see if there was a smart watch success behind that beautiful screen.

Good product for the price.

It's good for what i need it to do. However the step counter is a little off at times and heart rate sensor can be hard to use. The horizontal display takes some getting used to but I am overall happy with it.
