Compare to the Nikon offering w/ a d5500 and 18-140 for a cool grand. This Pentax offering is several hundred dollars less and I dare say, a all around better camera. Check it out!

First DSLR so I can't make any professional comments, but I enjoy it. Great form factor, smaller than a lot of other DSLRs without sacrificing anything that I can tell. The LCD screen isn't flimsy. Battery life is great so far.

Not going to make this long, have not tried everything but most and liked them all. I upgraded from a K20, which I know it's weaknesses but loved it's handling. The build quality of the S2 is good, dials feel solid but easy to move. The mode dial is metal and turns easily.

this is the 3rd body of this specific camera that I now own. Upgraded from wet film to digital last year and wanted to keep my old Pentax fit lenses. If your thinking of going digital with a Pentax fit, this is an excellent upper mid-range digital camera.

A great deal! This Pentax is classy, unlike the Ks-1 which was ridiculous. I find the camera to be excellent for photos, not so great for videos but it's not too bad either. Apart from that I don't really find anything wrong with it, but then again I'm not too experienced. It's pretty compact.

The APS-C sensor gives very nice still photo, fast autofocus DAL 18-50 mm lens, clarity and vivid colors, good video, easy to follow menu. Pentax is one of the old camera model/maker - old lenses K mount can be used for manual focusing.

Have got a K3 which I use most of the time, but was tempted to buy this camera as it is lighter and smaller and so ideal for when out walking or hill-walking or other times when a less bulky camera is suitable. Easy to use, especially if you are used to Pentax cameras.
