I'm working my way through all the fuctions of the camara, but have to say I am very pleased with its performance so far.

The Nikon D3500 is an entry-level DSLR for beginners. It's a modest upgrade over the popular D3400, with the same 24.2 megapixel resolution but a redesigned body and improved battery life.
Good quality kit lens; Very good image quality; Fast and silent autofocus; Unexpectedly snappy live view; Great for keen learners; Value for money
Fixed rear screen; Video is HD rather than 4K; Chunky compared to a mirrorless camera
If you're looking to get more creative with your photography, and looking for your first DSLR, the Nikon D3500 is hard to beat.
Remarkable 1,550-shot battery life; Excellent image quality; Handy Guide mode; Compact proportions for a DSLR; Easy to use
No 4K video; No touchscreen control; Bluetooth; but no Wi-Fi
Nikon's latest entry into the budget DSLR category, the D3500 is bundled with an AF-P DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G lens, which offers great results for a kit lens. Under the hood, you'll find a brand new 24.2MP sensor, ISO range of 100-25,600 – perfect for low-light shooting – and nippy 5fps continuous...

A great price for a great product, often referred to as an entry-level camera, but interms of features and functionality far from it. It does have in built tutorials that talk you through the process of the type of photo you are trying to take, so entry in that sense, but that's all.
Bought this little kit January 2019 It has never let me down. As a novice photographer this is perfect for learning how to handle such a machine. Will be upgrading my lens collection soon as i want to branch out. Playing about with the different settings is the best way to learn. Money well spent.
My first DSLR and I have not been disappointed. It is at the budget end of the market but has a great 24mp sensor and most of the bells and whistles a beginner to serious photography will need. I have been impressed with the photo quality and it has some great built in help for those learning.
I've had a series of digital camera over the years but finally went for a DSLR. This one is superb, quick to focus, exposure excellent. It has an amazing range of settings. Couldn't have hoped for a better quality product.
The clue is in the title. Entry-level. This is great value for an entry-level camera and can produce some stunning images. Sure, there are features that are missing, and some that you wouldn't expect on such a low-priced piece of kit. Overall, it's a great camera at an even better price.
