Netgear ProSafe 802.11n Dual-Band Wireless Access Point WNDAP350

Netgear has packed powerful enterprise features into its latest access point for small and mid-sized businesses: the affordable (at $299, direct) ProSafe 802.11n Dual-Band Wireless Access Point (WNDAP350).

Can't upgrade firmware directly through interface; Slight performance loss as wireless client moves further away at the 2.4-GHz band.

NETGEAR WNDAP350 ProSafe 802.11n Dual Band Wireless Access Point Reviewed

For some reason, some folks don't like paying for a wireless router when they only want an access point. Or perhaps they think that paying more (and you will pay more) for a "business grade" access point will result in better performance than consumer routers provide.

Eight SSIDs per band; HTTP; HTTPS & SSH command line management; WDS Bridging / Repeating; Can be powered by power wart or 802.3af PoE; Built-in and upgradeable antennas

No WPS support; Lackluster performance; Optional antenna connectors for 2.4 GHz radio only

Average product, butcould be Great or Bad

Comments about Netgear ProSafe WNDAP350 Dual Band Wireless-N Access Point: Overall this product is good for the price. However, I can't say that it's the right product for everyone, because it is not a solid product.

Easy To Setup; For the price; It has a good feature set

POE is fickle; Slow and poor updates; Unreliable connection

Another NetGear hit

This WAP was extremely easy to configure and has a fantastic signal and range. So far we're really enjoying this product.

Naysayers: Update the Firmware

Odd Shape

Great 2.4Ghz Range

Poor 5.0Ghz Range (blame physics; not Netgear

Netgear ProSafe WNDAP350 Dual BandWireless-N Access Point

I installed this wireless access point in a theater to provide coverage for both the auditorium and a section of lobby. The AP not only covers the entire theater but also covers much of the backstage space, the entire lobby, and into the parking lot.

Good Product, Super Slow Shipping

SUPER SLOW SHIPPING. Took 9 Days to receive this item, and it was in stock when ordered. Don't recommend J&R due to this.

Great Access Point with Controller Option- for More Advanced Users

I have used these in two different school with 5 or more points and found them very good. They are not routers, nor firewall, but very configurable access points. They can be set up and then copied over a campus or controlled by a Netgear access point controller.
