Great switch
Manufacturer: Netgear
The only issue I ran into is that the management GUI cannot be assigned to a tagged VLAN, you have to leave a LAN on your trunk port for access which it considers VLAN1. I'm not sure if this is a problem in the big picture but it did lead to some confusion on my part. I also had difficulty with the GUI when my host was on a separate LAN with routing to the GUI's configured LAN. The GUI was lethargic and unuseable. When the host is on the same LAN it works perfectly. Still, at the price it's a deal.
Nice looking metal housing and silent operation. This switch has a number of advanced features that separate it from a regular unmanaged switch and is probably best set up on the desk via a single direct network connection before installing into an existing network; most notably, it has its own DHCP server and wants to assign IP addresses independent of the rest of your LAN. In my case, I disabled this feature and it sits in the middle of my home network doing what it does. Nice to be able to throttle individual ports and prioritize traffic with QoS on a per port level or DSCP. Happy with performance to date.
