Be aware that although this product is very well made and priced well, it requires SPECIFIC PoE injected, primarily from a larger version of itself. This is not really suitable for stand-alone installation. Especially with Ubiquiti or other lower power rated PoE devices.

Great for extending your network to areas without easy access to power (e.g. passthrough feature especially handy for IP cameras etc) I have another Netgear PoE switch located on another floor providing the power to the GS105PE. One thing to be aware of is that the unit I received required a firmware update via TFTP before I could access and control the switch via a browser. I did contact Netgear support to clarify that and they were helpful. Subsequent firmware updates from Netgear have solved some issues too. Managed features like VLAN and port mirroring a bonus.
