I have a Giga network but could never have a decent bandwith. Copying was 4-6 MB/s for example. I upgraded 3 swithches such as this one or with 16 ports. Now the copying is 100 MB/s !! and I get the 1 Giga bandwith even from the internet.

We will be using this switch for all our satellite offices for sure!

You don't need the software if you can figure out what IP the DHCP server handed the switch. From there it is just a web interface. Standard netgear GUI interface. Easy to understand and configure. It even has help marks for terminology that is strange.

Just what i was looking for, connected from router and split into different parts of the house. Speed is excellent.
