It works and is pretty fast. From time to time I have to disconnect it from the USB port and reconnect it for it to be recognised by Windows 10, but it may very well be an issue with my old machine and not the device. Works well enough.

The Netgear A6200 11ac adaptor provides good performance at range which can be more than double that of a current 802.11n laptop 3x3 MIMO setup. Here's our Netgear A6200 review.
802.11ac is a new wireless standard worth getting excited about, even though it has yet to be ratified. Netgear has a solid 11ac router on the market, the R6300 WiFi Router 802.11ac Dual Band Gigabit , and an 802.11ac wireless adapter to go with it: the 802.11ac A6200 WiFi Adapter .
Supports 802.11ac
Unimpressive throughput; Buggy software.
Works fine once you address flaw, but disappointing that flaw still not fixed in firmware a year later after initial release. Took me a while to run the problem down, at first I thought it was my system config and wasted time chasing until I found the issue via Google. Hope this post helps others.
Has very good range for both 2.4 and 5 GHz; Speed good but will ultimately be limited by USB 2.0 constraint.
Has flaw where connect intermittently drops out, and where it will consistently NOT reconnect at system restart; Google "A6200 or WNDA3100v2 wireless adapter intermittently disconnects" and you'll find more info on this issue on the Netgear site and elsewhere.
The Netgear A6200 11ac adaptor provides good performance at range which can be more than double that of a current 802.11n laptop 3x3 MIMO setup. The addition of an attractive design and the ability to mount this in a USB slot vertically are an added bonus. For the best of the bunch though look to the Asus AC-56.
You get what you pay for, this adapter has everything I was looking for. I am glad I spent the extra money to get this adapter, my computer is even faster than when I was using cable, videos in HD Streaming and games are crystal clear and brighter. I am a happy camper...
Netgear's A6200 wins the award for most ambitious industrial design. Its USB interface is mounted on a hinged connector, and its antenna is housed inside a thin rectangular bar that you can pivot to fine-tune its reception.
I was truly impressed, after being frustrated with my 11n dongle getting 8Mbps to going to 30Mbps and the Netgear adapter picking up 9 other networks in my area, when my other only picked up 2....
speed; range; price
the software is a bit dodgie but works
When we look at the internet connection speeds that many of us are become all to familiar with and the amount of data that we find ourselves moving around our networks, it was only a matter of time before we saw a need to speed up our wireless networks to come into line with Gigabit Ethernet.
802.11ac ready; Strong performance; Easy to set up; Dual Band 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios; Beamforming+ technology
Will be soon classed as slow as 802.11ac routers and devices mature
This year is set to see the widespread rollout of the new 802.11ac wireless standard, which has been appearing in routers for some time now, but has suffered from a lack of client solutions.
