After reading all of the negative reviews i can see that people are givingNeed for Speed Payback is a fantastic arcade racing game that i have played for
I didn't realize it needed internet the whole time to play this game and now my kid has a game he can't play
This game has been nothing but fun since I got it. Which was a decent time ago. Up untill the new need for speed came out I was playing this one. The story mode wasn't the longest but it was fun. Really corny cut scenes but all in all not bad.
A tragically misjudged series reboot that gets all of the fundamentals wrong, while adding absolutely nothing new to the franchise except flashier graphics.
The graphics and sound are amazing when viewed separately from the rest of the game; The drifting is fun and so too are the customisation options
The races are horribly boring, in terms of their design, the rubber band AI, and the poor sensation of speed; Boring city design and self-destructive always-online requirement
To some extent, a racing game should be all about the cars. But Need for Speed Payback goes to such an extreme in fetishizing the different parts and builds of its vehicles that it gets stuck in the technical weeds, failing to consistently deliver on the adrenaline-pumping highs of previous Need for...
Gamers the world over since the inception of the 2 nd wave of Fast and Furious films have wanted to experience what its like to be a part of an elaborate heist crew, which is robbing companies, mobsters, and low-lives alike, first hand.
It Works; Can Already Be Purchased for Less Than £30
Laughably Bad; Borderline Idiotic Story; Lacks Any Meaningful Content; Built Around Grinding and Loot Boxes; Unrewarding and at Times Downright Infuriating; Has no Personality of Its Own; Full of Graphical Glitches and Texture Pop-ins
Steering, different styles, etc. take getting used to, but that hardly puts a damper on the amazing graphics and the feel of being a part of the underground racing scene again.. A generally good tribute to the NFS Underground games. Rubberbanding AI feels almost soul-crushingly unfair.
All of us in the house adore gaming and it shows when you look at the consoles cluttering up the living room and bedrooms, not to mention when you include the PC's. The PS4 is one of the consoles that are shared between us and we all have games on it and fight over it when it when more than one of...
Plays well; entertaining; looks brilliant and varied play
Lack of a decent multiplayer
Need for Speed takes driving into a gorgeous world with a modern edge, but its pesky attitude and strict online-only requirement make you yearn for the good old days.
Ventura Bay lays out a gorgeous; rain-slick city; Car customization is rich and fulfilling; Drifts take time to tune and master
Completely unplayable offline; Pestering story mode; Parts of the world are a lifeless sprawl
