First Impressions My reaction is Despite not considering myself to be a racing games fan, I have spent a majority of my gaming lifetime playing games like Need for Speed and GT. The quality of racing games has been high for a long time now. Take Burnout Paradise as an example.

Finally in hot pursuit you get to pit your wits and skills against not only drivers, but Johnny "do good" lawman as he tries to take you and the other racers out by any means necessary.

Fans of street racing driving games might be forgiven for finding something awfully familiar about Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit ‘s feel. With Criterion now in charge, there is a definite Burnout style bouquet to the game series which has illegal racers take on cops in a series of testing races.

Not too realistic but this one's a great entertainer. I bought this after I had my time with the infamous 'NFS Run' that sucked big time ! This thing saves a lot of time and does not go around some crap of a story. Only disappointing thing is the sound tracks aren't that good or racy.

I think this is the best game in the NFS series and I still play it after 15 years and there is no match for this game....

My favorite Need for Speed of the old series -and maybe my favorite to this day. I might be blinded by nostalgia, but I don't care. The game was gorgeous like no other racing game ever was, and the reflections on the cars and the light and rain effects, oh man, was it beautiful back in its day.

NFS:HP is a game in which, unlike other NFS games you start it up and get some pretty nice cars before you play for a long time, but you still get awesome cars the further you are in the game, such as the Bugatti Veyron 16.4.

The Need For Speed name is famous, and although the first two games were good, this was the one that really did it for me. This was the first NFS were you could be the cop. For a start the game features pretty nice graphics for its time, with smoke effects and detailed cars.

I got this game not long ago and I wasn't dissapointed. The racing on this game is very competitive and enjoyable. There is also a 2 player split screen mode so you can play with a friend. If the resolution on the game is set high than the graphics will look good.
