First Impressions: Motorola Edge 30 Neo Review

Just what I wanted, but...

It's hard to find a smaller phone these days and the Edge 30 is a very similar size to the Samsung S22 (small one) except less than half the price. The cameras are an upgrade from my previous 3yo Moto. The only concern is it may not be as robust as my last one. I noticed it had a crack on the screen and it's never 'really' been dropped. My last phone was properly dropped many many times before the screen cracked. Thankfully it's not affecting the front camera.

Motorola Edge 30 Neo review

Dependably fast charging; Nice size and shape; Great display;

Feels cheap in the hand; Poor camera quality in low light; Extra branding on the rear;

Good, but.

It's good, camera is great, battery life fantastic, google pay is new for me and is great. It all works but I would not buy again. I thought the small size would mean it would be easier in the pocket - not really. Motorola has always been fairly robust in the past, but a 1m drop caused a crack in the screen. The operating system also has a minor glitch, meaning when scrolling occasionally the display will double up in places.
