The keyboard and mouse arrived promptly - and connection was easy...however only about 8 of the keys worked.
Very good and comfortable.
The Microsoft 5050 Keyboard and Mouse are replacing a Microsoft 4000 K&M. Although I was very used to the layout of the 4000, I quickly adapted to the slight differences in the 5050. The 5050 mouse is very similar to the 4000, has a very nice somewhat tactile feel, I really like it.
Good keyboard overall. Standard comfort curve is an acceptable and welcome mutation from the standard keyboard. Small and lowered F key size is not welcome (Not worth it just for looks). Standard Insert, Home, Page Up Down, Delete, End keys for people who use traditional cut & paste key sequences.
Nice traditional comfort curve; Feels good overall with no annoying mutations except for the small F keys; Mouse is simple but effective with back and forward browser buttons and feels comfortable
F keys are too small and low; Hard time hitting them without looking; (Please bring back full size F keys); First thing that will stop working with this keyboard set is the mouse wheel; I`ve had 3 of these sets already; Same thing every time with mouse wheel.
The mouse is good, but I can't seem to get use to the keyboard layout. I keep typing the wrong keys. The keyboard hand rest feels nice, but it gets worn out really easy. I've only had it for less than a month, and I can see that it's starting to get worn out.
I bought this keyboard after agonizing for an hour in a MicroCenter store. I like the ergonomic shape. It's the first keyboard I've used that isn't flat. And because the shaping isn't too radical, my touch typing adapted fast. It's very comfortable to use, and the keys are relatively quiet.
Microsoft's ergonomic Wireless Comfort Desktop 5050 combo remains a reliable, comfortable choice.
Inexpensive; Comfortable to use; Numerous Windows shortcut keys; Either top or bottom can be inclined; Mouse is ambidextrous
Escape; function; and other keys are too small; Keys not backlit; Incline/decline not high enough; or adjustable
Got combo set an installed it. Love the keyboard. It ha lots of features and works great. The mouse leaves a lot to be desired. It was jumpy and all over the screen. Drag and drop was veery erratic.
This keyboard (Wireless Comfort Desktop 5050) is indeed comfortable and works well, however this is my second one and after only about 8 months of use, already the "A" key is halfway rubbed off. I thought it was a fluke with the first one, but it's just the way they make them.
