Strong atmosphere and a dark tone make this FPS a cut above the rest

Metro Last Light is the long awaited sequel to 2010's Metro 2033.

Great gameplay that makes you think Interesting locations and atmosphere Challenging but not frustrating

DLC feels unfinished Wish it was longer Some more exploration would have been steller

loved it

I really enjoyed the first game so I had high expectations and it didn't disappoint, it was a really good game. I love post apocalyptic games and this has it's own edge to it. You do need to play the first game to have a true understanding to what is going on with the politics and the monsters you...

Phwoar!

One of the best, most atmospheric and tense games I have played since Resident Evil 4. Play the first one, it doesn't have quite the same level of tension or polish, but it contributes enormously to the experience of this one.

Metro Last Light

Developer 4A Games and THQ were hard at work preparing Metro: Last Light for release over the past couple of years, when the publisher went bankrupt, but luckily for fans, Deep Silver stepped in to see the project through until the end and make sure the game was released.

The shadows of the past linger. They appear as silhouettes on crumbling walls each time lightning bolts slash across the sky. They haunt you as you journey across annihilated cityscapes once teeming with life and love.

Astounding atmosphere fills you with dread; A great; surprisingly touching story about loss and hope; Fantastic pacing allows tension to build before the action heats up; Exploring the surface is frightening and exciting; Great array of weapons make you feel powerful; but not overpowered

Unimpressive AI; Occasionally drab visuals

Metro: Last Light

When Metro 2033 was released in 2010 it really carried a lot of promise with it. Here you had a game that took most of the conventions that have drained most of the fun out of modern shooters, such as regenerating health and carry limits on guns, and then managed to make them feel important to the...

Controls feel more much responsive than in previous game; the plot has been expanded upon; all graphics have been noticeably improved; weapons have been improved in a variety of ways; most of the gameplay has been touched up and improved

An almost bewildering array of minor issues; the plot sputters out in the last few hours; ending leaves a "meh" feeling; some serious missed opportunities
