Marshall Motif ANC earbuds review: Style over substance?

Marshall's earbuds have some crucial flaws, in particular on the comfort side of things, that hold them back and make alternative choices a good chunk more attractive at this price.

Solid sound; Decent active noise-cancelling (ANC);

Not hugely comfortable; Could look better; Disapppointing battery life;

Marshall Motif ANC review

Great audio quality and clever noise-cancelling tech means audiophiles will love these true wireless earbuds, though the design is a little strange and the battery life leaves a lot to be desired.

Well made; Great sound; Comfortable;

Some design quirks; Ever-present Apple competition; Noise cancellation is a battery thief

While it's pricey, the Marshall Motifs offers incredible sound and envious style, along with a great battery and fast charging. It's money well spent.

Great sound; Decent ANC; Fast Charging; Super stylish; Strong battery life;

Marshall Motif ANC : Big on style, short on customisation

The Marshall Motif ANC nail the brand’s signature sound and style, but are held back by limited customisation and several niggling issues

Perfectly tuned for rock and metal; Stylish speaker-inspired design; Reasonable noise cancellation;

Not the most comfortable fit; Limited customisation options; Mediocre battery life;

Marshall Motif A.N.C. Review

The Marshall Motif A.N.C. noise-cancelling true wireless earphones ($199.99) sport the company’s signature rock-and-roll stylings, but there’s still a long way to the top of this high-end segment. We like their sculpted-but-balanced sound signature and decently water-resistant design, though they aren’t very effective at mitigating distracting noise and the companion app lacks a customizable EQ. The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II ($299.99) and the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) ($249) remain our Editors’ Choice winners in the premium segment because they offer unbeatable active noise cancellation (ANC), top-notch audio quality, and better mobile experiences.A Fashionable Earphone and Case Design The earphones are available in black, and each stem has a cool crosshatched pattern. A script "M" (for Marshall) logo emblazons the exterior shell. We're fans of the distinctive look, though the company's speakers (such as the Woburn III) are a more impressive sight because of their larg...

The Marshall Motif A.N.C. earphones deliver a strong audio experience, but we expected better noise cancellation and more app features for the price.

Quality audio performance with deep bass and sculpted highs; Cool, rock-inspired design; Water-resistant build

Pricey; In-app EQ isn’t customizable; Underwhelming noise cancellation
