In one word, it's dull. Specifically: It is lacking in polish. It looks SPECTACULAR, especially in the cutscenes, and the general audio design is also spot on. But the gameplay... it's so... lackluster.

Great storyline. Cant afford anything till at least 1/4 of the way through the game (cars etc), very very truthful story that will sometimes leave you gobsmacked and somewhat shocked. There are alot of racial slurrs and they have set this story as it was back in those times.
Was enjoyably addictive even if you go from district to district doing very similar tasks. The story is immense and intriguing making the game (apart from the average game play) a great one to play.
I bought this when it first came out, couldn't wait for it to finish downloading...and haven't played it since. Having loved Mafia II, I was thoroughly disappointed by this; it was glitchy and lagged in parts - at the time, my PS4 was brand new and had no other games on it, so there was no other...
This game is really amazing, the story graphics and gameplay all combined, I have been enjoying this game since day 1, it had its problems but it got patched, the cars handle like the real ones, the pedestrians react realisticly. Just give this game a chance, highly reccomend it :)
Bought this is a cheap crimbo pressie for my nephews they r playing it every day and enjoy it good game great price.
This game is a great game if you are into games like God Father, GTA V or other games similar. The story mode is truly awesome. The music in the game is classic hit from the time period. The graphics in 4k is gorgeous.
A good game with great entertainment value. There is plenty to do and plenty to unlock. It's a bit slow to get going, but once you do get going, then New Bordeaux offers up a lot of missions, side missions, races and lots more .
Great graphics but no new innovation. Mafia two is actually better if you ignore the graphics. Every mission is repetitive. All you do is smash crates, kill leader of district, interrogate people. You do the same thing 36 times. City is big and varied but there's nothing you can do.
I was expecting a whole lot more after Mafia II. But everything is so repetitive. "Go kill X, steal from Y, follow Z then kill him and steal from him" What really bothers me is the lack of garage. But as soon as you start driving another car, that's the car you'll be seeing from now on.
