Linksys released its flagship WRT1900AC, 802.11ac router a good few months ago now, and our intention was to bring you our review after one month of solid usage. The key word here is 'solid', as it's something that this router failed to exhibit in its performance during our initial tests.

The striking blue-and-black case of the Linksys WRT1900AC is a deliberate homage to the famed WRT54G router that was originally released in the 1990s. Wireless technology has come a long way since then, though, and this, its spiritual successor, is a breed apart.

Very pleased with this router. Easy to set up.......currently using multiple devices on both 2.4 & 5 gb. Have a smart tv hard-wired to unit - a real workhorse.

Connected router to my existing modem and switch and was up and running in 30 minutes. Great wifi signal, router is in my basement (not the best place) but reaches the 2nd floor with at least 60% signal and out to the detached garage. No drops or issues in the first two weeks.

Good for plug and play users; advanced users may have better luck with dd-wrt firmware or another router Price is high even on sale

Next to bringing back a lot of nostalgia for the design alone we have to say this; there is absolutey nothing about the WRT1900AC that can be compared to that old piece of hardware. The WRT1900AC is truly among the most powerful routers available on the web.

I purchased this router with intentions of gaining some extra signal strength and speed. I don't have a lot running at one time. Two cell phones , one tablet and one steaming device, Ruku. My previous router was an older D-Link with 2 antennas.

I upgraded this router from another Linksys router that was only about 3 years old and kept dropping the Wifi signal. After about a week, this new router (WRT1900ACS) started dropping the Wifi signal as well (ethernet connection was fine).

I am using this for Network Gaming. This is the amazing Router, its performance is best. I have used so many brands but this is the best.
