Lenovo has been a trailblazer in the hybrid laptop market. Its original Yoga ushered in a new era of portable computing with four modes of use - laptop, stand, tent, and tablet - meaning laptops and tablets were no longer separate entities.

Lenovo has copied the Microsoft Surface Pro and it's cheaper. Here's our Lenovo Ideapad Miix 700 review from IFA 2015.
updated IdeaPad devices at IFA this week, aimed at those looking to upgrade to Windows 10 systems in time for the holiday season. We got our hands on the IdeaPad Miix 700 on the IFA show floor to see whether it is just as similar to the Surface in real life as on paper, as well as to see how well it...
For a brief, fleeting moment, I almost thought Lenovo had accidentally announced the Surface Pro 4 when I first saw the IdeaPad Miix 700. With its sleek metal chassis and height-adjustable kickstand, it's so close to Microsoft's excellent two-in-one Surface Pro 3 that you could easily mistake one...
Lenovo has an elegant tablet/convertible in its lineup with the IdeaPad Miix 700 that overall, made a positive impression. The installed Core M processor provides enough computing power for routine use.
bright; high-contrast IPS screen; noiseless operation; SSD in M.2 format; keyboard dock; ActivePen; very good battery life
multi-thread throttling; GPU throttling; casing could be stiffer
At first glance it's easy to mistake the Miix 700's sleek form for a Surface Pro 4. Look closer, however, and it soon becomes clear that this is no carbon copy of Microsoft's tablet.
Great device - I love it. Switching seamless between Tablet and Laptop mode is a killer for me. The screen resolution is razor sharp and I have to say that with this generation Intel has nailed it with the Core-M platform.
Great machine. It has a lot of power and when the keyboard is on, it acts like a high powered laptop. Otherwise it is a great tablet. Love it!
After the trend-setting success of the Surface, almost every laptop maker has added a sleek detachable to its portfolio. The $750, 12-inch Miix 700 is Lenovo's entry into this category, featuring the brand's signature watchband hinge, active pen support and a leather-backed folding keyboard.
Add that to the nagging and unnecessary software (which you won't find on the TabPro S or Microsoft's Surfaces), and the Lenovo Ideapad Miix 700 winds up being a 2-in-1 that we want to love, but only just like.
