I bought this lens from Adorama in March 2010 after months of waiting. Unfortunately, the first sample was defective right out of the box. The aperture simply locked up between F/.95 and F/1.4. I called Adorama, they could not exchange it as the lens is very difficult to get.

That amount of money can buy you a lot of things. A new large flat screen TV, a state-of-the art gaming PC, that cruise you've always been dreaming of (or your wife), a pre-owned car maybe, or finally that full-frame camera with a nice set of quality primes. Or a Leica normal prime.

This lens is the King of Kings! I could not get this lens for a year, and still very happy with Noctilux f1.0 (3rd gen). The bokeh was factastic and stop down, you get sharp photos as good as any Summilux/Summicron. However, I kept looking for 0.95.

First class lens and arrived ultra quick. This is hard to get and worth every penny if you want an ultra fast lens.
