Let's get the obvious out of the way early, shall we? LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean is, in fact, another LEGO game. Shocking I know, but there it is. How you react to this profound statement will serve as a fair prediction of how much you'll enjoy yourself.

It's common knowledge that Traveller's Tales likes to be prolific with its Lego games. Seeing as how this is the second Lego game to be released this year alone, it's safe to say that the kid-friendly series is undoubtedly something of a hallmark for the developer.

From swinging on vines to duelling the Kraken , all the adventure of the Pirates of the Caribbean series is in this game. Disney's Lego Pirates of the Caribbean is a great new game that lets you relive the excitement of the series with your favourite juvenile pastime, Lego.

In conclusion, LPofC is certainly not a terrible game by any means. In fact, the majority of what they do is promising. The visuals are great and the storytelling for most of the journey is promising (until the plot becomes confusing).

The silly antics of a blundering pirate seem like a great match for a line of children's building block toys, and it's probably no surprise that one would see both of these profitable franchises come together in the form of LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean , or "LEGO PotC" from here on.

I have no idea how Traveler's Tales does it, but they keep making fantastic games even while going way off-script on some of pop- and nerd-culture's most beloved franchises. They release two or three games every year, and each time they add just enough new content - or rework the gameplay just...
