LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean (Xbox360)

It seems Traveller's Tales can do nothing wrong. As if we didn't already have enough quality LEGO games to savour, Traveller's Tales has brought us two more back-to-back releases in 2011.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean is a great kids game, with a well realised story and fun characters, but it's also more of the same. In terms of the LEGO series to date then this is probably one of the better incarnations, but you just can't help but wonder where things could go from here.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean

Let's get the obvious out of the way early, shall we? LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean is, in fact, another LEGO game. Shocking I know, but there it is. How you react to this profound statement will serve as a fair prediction of how much you'll enjoy yourself.

Lego Pirates of the Caribbean

It's common knowledge that Traveller's Tales likes to be prolific with its Lego games. Seeing as how this is the second Lego game to be released this year alone, it's safe to say that the kid-friendly series is undoubtedly something of a hallmark for the developer.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean

Jack Sparrow and his motley crew of pirates have arrived into the LEGO Universe, not only as amazing LEGO building blocks but into the LEGO video game world as well. Being a huge fan of the LEGO video game franchise I was somewhat excited given that I got a chance to play an early version of the...

Lego Pirates of the Caribbean the Video Game (Xbox 360) Review

is a more than worthy entry in the hit series and the best-looking of the bunch. The settings are wonderfully detailed and pull you into the terrific gameplay. The animation is great, making you feel like you're playing the characters, especially Jack Sparrow.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Review

The latest LEGO video game, LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean, takes the now tried and tested formula of basic combat and platforming mixed in with simple puzzle solving, and lays it over the top of the four films starring Johnny Depp (including the yet to be released On Stranger Tides).

The formula is familiar: play through the 'Story' mode, solving puzzles and collecting studs (currency) to unlock as many characters as you can (all the while enjoying the adorable LEGO interpretations of iconic scenes from the movies) until you can go back with a team of alternate characters to...
