overrated

I completely agree with those who state this does not work very well. The lag time in detecting your motion pulls you out the game. The most damning comment I can make (and it is justified) is this is just not fun. I have the Wii. My kids will only play the Wii.

Star Wars becomes dis-Kinected...

Galactic Dance-Off left a bad taste in my mouth, but if that mode is taken out of the game...well, you are still left with a very weak experience. So much more could have been done with such a huge franchise.

Kinect Star Wars Review - These Are Not The Droids You Are Looking For

Kinect Star Wars had the ingredients to provide a true Jedi experience, but thanks to poor production, performance issues and a bastardisation of the Star Wars franchise, it leaves a sour taste in the mouth for fans.

For sci-fi fans it's fun and physical but inconsistent.

Parents need to know that Kinect Star Wars is an Xbox 360 game that requires Microsoft's motion- and sound-sensing Kinect peripheral, sold separately. Its five modes have players fighting with a lightsaber, destroying cities as a monster, racing pods, and dancing.

Kinect Star Wars Review (Xbox 360)

Kinect Star Wars is the game that old Star Wars fans fear the most. Luckily, for LucasArts, they don't really seem to care about the relatively small number of original trilogy fans who bemoan anything new to their once-beloved galaxy far, far away.

Rancor Rampage is enjoyable and could be great for parties; The dancing works as well as Kinect dancing always works; Kids will love the art style and forgiving controls

Controls are slow; laggy and often not translated accurately enough; The narrative in the story mode isn't interesting enough; Some odd control choices make Podracing barely playable at times; It makes lightsabers feel slow; boring and awkward

Kinect Star Wars

For Star Wars fans already incensed by execrable prequels, muscle-bound merchandise and Jedi Masters flogging mobile phones on televisions and billboards across the land, the collection of mini games comprising Kinect Star Wars is unlikely to rescue the franchise's dignity.

Kinect Star Wars Xbox 360

Kinect, it would be fair to say, has hardly set the gaming world alight. Beyond speeches at gaming conferences, high talk of the future of the medium...

Kinect Star Wars

There's a reason Kinect Star Wars was one of the first games announced for Microsoft's motion-control device. Most fans of Lucas' sci-fi universe would probably agree, the idea of being a badass Jedi who can Force-move objects with your bare hands just seems like a perfect, natural fit for...

+ Presentation's pretty decent overall; Galactic Dance Off mode is outlandish fun

? Why can't we wield Dark Side powers? Force Choke and Force Lightning would've been sweet

Kinect Star Wars Review

Kinect Star Wars is another in a long list of Kinect titles that just doesn't cut it. Its unresponsive controls, lack of depth and short-lived gaming experiences do little to cater for any audience.
