An Epic Journey | Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Review

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is not a very difficult game. It's not a very long one. But it's delightful, and one of the best downloadable games of 2013. It is an adventure-puzzler for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC starring–you guessed it–two brothers.

+Engaging story; +Beautiful setting

-Brief; -Not very challenging

Journey review

There are no gaudy explosions, no zippy one-liners, no grandiose set-pieces. And it's all over in around two hours. But Journey is one of the longest games we've played in quite a while. And that's a rare compliment. Journey is long because it's long-lasting .

Gorgeous art design; A profoundly unique co-op experience; A soaring and emotional experience

Missing out on it; Not being able to experience it for the first time again; Arguing with people who missed the point

Journey Review

Minimalist art is the most and least accessible form of art; it's so uncomfortably primal. It demands intimacy, and that the viewers become active participants in its emotional experiment, like, for example, in William Carlos Williams' take on aging: "It is not fair to the old, to put on a brown...

Patience; Sophisticated silence; Joy

Brevity

Journey Review

"Dammit," was the first word out of my mouth after beating Journey . I was unhappy because I knew this review would be the hardest review I've ever written. If I had my way, I would simply write three words, email them to my editor and push back from my desk. Those words? "Go play it.

Unassuming and jarringly unique story; Remarkably detailed environmental graphics; Online offerings redefine online interaction

Nothing; Not one darn thing

Journey will take you into the cloudy heights of video game artistry (review)

Your first words when you start playing Journey, the new PlayStation Network game from Thatgamecompany , will be something like "Wow," or "Cool!" From the moment you start walking through the sand, you know you're in for a different kind of experience.

With Journey, the incredible visuals are presented to you right at the outset; You as the player are a robed character, completely masked in a red robe, not entirely human and neither male nor female in your form; In the distance is a mountain.

I have a bone to pick with Thatgamecompany; They work too slow; Come on! Such lazy developers; They came out with Flower, one of the most startling and original video games ever made - with a story as beautiful as Dr.

Journey Review

Considering that it does more for the advancement of gaming than most $59.99 titles on the market, its $14.99 price tag makes Journey a must-have.

Journey is not so much a game, but an experience; As haunting as it is breathtaking, Journey easily becomes the most entertaining download on the Playstation Network

It's avant-garde approach to gaming might be slightly off-putting to most gamers

Journey: Collector's Edition Review - a great game just got better

A nice package to while away the hours complete with some fine added extras

Journey is one of the best plaformers of recent years; Great added value with insightful commentary

Flower is still boring; flOw is a short game and the fun is over before it's really began

Journey Collector's Edition PS3 Review

Thatgamecompany have become renowned for making some very distinct gaming experiences. The trio of games that they developed for the PS3 have all been unique, and you couldn't possibly mistake one with any other.

Journey: Collector's Edition

Freed from their exclusive deal with Sony it will be fascinating to see what thatgamecompany do next, and how the world of indie games changes alongside them. For now though this collection is the perfect excuse to experience some of the best, most unique games of this generation and either...

Journey: Collector's Edition Review

For some reason, I missed the release of Journey on PSN. I remember it being a busy month, and I remember being just a little wary of the game after being so frustrated with playing both fl0w and Flower using those awful motion-sensing control schemes on the PS3 gamepad.
