I bought this and it had no graphics card, just an empty PCI slot. also, there is no onboard card, like the other HP's z240's had. My sales rep did NOT tell me there was no graphics card and instead tried to talk me down on the specs.

The G4 provides a good baseline for a workstation and what it does, it does very well. But when a nine grand machine takes eight seconds to open Chrome, there's something very wrong. We'd want a separate machine to do the simple stuff.
Incredible graphics performance; Sturdy build quality
Average day-to-day performance; Configuration isn't available off-the-shelf; Hideously expensive; Weird port configuration
We have utilized HP to run Autodesk products for years and kept coming back for their reliability. Two of our machines needed more power to run Revit and newer Autodesk products so we patiently waited for the new Z4 workstations. These things can be customized to insane performance levels.
Windows Pro is a big deal also - the entire machine is really a workhorse for a very good price, competitively speaking. Pleased that Amazon had this available at Christmas. Processor is fast, RAM expandable to some incredibly large number in the hundreds that is unnecessary now but good to know it...
No graphics cad had to but one before using the machine then had to buy a front fan as this error came up as one was not installed as there was no graphics card. Error on my part when ordering the workstation. once up and running, excellent choice. What I would expect from HP, Quality.
