I purchased this printer because I have always liked HP products. The printer is a reasonable size, the functionality is awesome and it does everything I need it to do. I love the ease of use including the touch screen display.

We operate a small non-profit but put a lot of pressure on our copier. Upgrading to the OfficeJet Pro 8710 was the right move for us. Wireless is essential. We can use it from either of two offices without a wire in site. We needed an efficient paper feed for scans and this unit filled the bill.

Worked ok for first three months. Never could seem to get the autofeed to align scans quite clean though. Had it now for 9 months. Crashed regularly. Tossed it in the trash today. I would not but another HP printer. Typically the problem is ink. Here, it was performance.

HP has gone downhill. I bought this to replace my 7310. I use to print a lot candy labels using address label paper. When I tried to print the labels they are completely crooked. I am no longer able to make labels.

I bought this a couple of years ago and have had nothing but problems- would have returned it but it started acting up right after the 90 days. So it's my nemesis now... beyond frustrating when I try & use it and receive errors, or it just stops printing, or the update makes it even worse.

My only compaint is that you can only use original HP ink cartridges in it. Refurbs are not available anywhere that I could find.

Large Footprint

Good machine and prints well, but scan to computer process is very poor. Difficult to set up and generates an error message every time the macine is switched on. Work around is hard to find and "pictogram" set up instructions leave a lot to be desired.

I have been buying HP's all in one printers for many years. This by far is the best.It has features that make it easy to set up and use. The quality is unsurpassed. I also like the Ink program that you subscribe to at a very reasonable price and the printer orders it for you when it is running low.

This printer is a vending machine that has your credit card and won't give it back; You never Own the Ink Cartridges; This printer phones home and reports your usage and Charges your credit card when Big Brother thinks you need ink; It quits printing if you try to use it off line a lot.
