Final Fantasy XIII-2 Review

If you're a Final Fantasy fan then there is no question, go ahead and purchase Final Fantasy XIII-2 . Impressive visual design, backed up by gameplay that is addictive, and rewards exploration means that this direct sequel outperforms its predecessor in every facet of gameplay.

"Yet another smash hit"

I had great hopes for this game, just like I had for the original title. Square Enix addressed nearly every issue from the previous title and delivered in a huge way. With a non-linear world, plenty of side quests, puzzles, and much more, Final Fantasy XIII-2 adds yet another smash hit to the RPG...

Keeps you entertained, thats about it.

I have always been a big and loyal fan to the final fantasy series. Since I've been able to read and play the games, I begged my parents, and then got it myself when I started working on the first day of release.. Most certainly cannot deny double points on a pre-order at game!

Final Fantasy XIII-2 so close, yet so far

Somewhere around Final Fantasy XIII-2's seventh or eighth final battle - there are so many of them, it's hard to keep track - I had to save the game and quit playing for the afternoon. I was fighting some tag team coterie of dragons who seem to have flown in from another game.

Amazing Game

I have only had this game for a few weeks, but it is an amazing upgrade from the first Final Fantasy xiii! I love this game and would recommend it to anyone who like Final Fantasy Games.

Final Fantasy XIII-2

The twenty-five year old series first appearance on a new generation of consoles brought with it beautiful visuals, a fast-paced and more organic combat system, and Japanese melodrama in the grand tradition of the J-RPG.

Final Fantasy XIII-2's box art features the indomitable Lightning, looking strong and feminine in her tough-as-nails armor and flowing skirt of feathers. You remember Lightning, of course: she spent the majority of Final Fantasy XIII trying to release her sister Serah from a crystalline prison.

Monster collection is fun and addictive; Multiple heartfelt moments combine story and gameplay in effective ways; Caius is a fantastic villain; Impressive; varied visual design

The best characters were sidelined in favor of less interesting ones; Multiple sequences bog down the pace; Main story is relatively easy and short

First impressions - great visuals, same old grand set pieces and characters of XIII, better combat and exploration gameplay- fast paced ,better than lost odyssey.., cool monsters sound- epic sound design cons - long loading times, with d advent of elder scrolls , this feels a bit dated, but still...

All in all, I had a great time with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. The story doesn't make much sense, but the battle system is really fun and addictive and kept me coming back. And despite the overwhelming nature of having so many subsystems to keep track of, leveling the characters and upgrading stuff is...

Fun battle system; replay value; lots of distinct playable characters; good music; difficulty options

Confusing story; uneven visuals; too many subsystems

Don't get the hype

I should have known I wouldn't like it but I gave in to the hype. Hate the whole JRPG thing where you have to fight and use different methods to score points. Just means that the whole game becomes about fighting and I'm so not interested.
